Barchart - Sugar prices settled sharply lower on Tuesday, with NY sugar falling to a 5-week low and London sugar dropping to a 3-month low. Signs of stronger Indian sugar production, which will boost global supplies, are undercutting prices. India’s National Federation of Cooperative Sugar Factories Ltd. reported Tuesday that India’s sugar production rose to 845,000 MT this season to the end of October, more than eight times the output from the same period last year.
