Barchart - Sugar prices traded lower on Friday, with NY sugar falling to a 7-week low. Sugar prices were pressured by a slightly stronger dollar and the possibility of a US-Iran interim peace agreement, which would allow freer sugar flows in the Middle East. According to Covrig Analytics, the closure of the strait has curbed approximately 6% of the world’s sugar trade.
